before the crowd
here are some photos from last weekend’s double header of Cincinnati shows, midpoint music conference on thursday and uc’s back to school event on friday.

the stage at University of Cincinnati before the crowd. i am so grateful to uc for having us be a part of this event. kick ass crowd, tons of fun. great to see blessid union of souls too, one of the most successful bands ever to come out of Cincinnati. it has been a long while since we played with Elliot. he is a fantastic live performer and an undeniably good songwriter.

our new guitarist John McGuire. excellent player, super talented and an all around good guy. come say hi to him at a show and make him feel welcome.

stuff in my pocket at the end of the weekend.
thanks to everybody who came out for making the weekend so much fun!
i am enjoying a moment of relief from weeks of nonstop painting, website making, shows and rehearsal.
monday i had a bit of a breakdown. but today i feel great! i am finally starting to feel caught up. and that makes me happy because when i can make even just a little freetime, i can make music.
i think i will write something this weekend.
truthfully i do not have time to finish this july for kings album right now. i am going to try and set aside my “fall break” which is really only four days, and christmas break to make albums. the jfk album is almost complete i have been saying that for a while, but it is true. i just haven’t had time to touch it in a while. plus i have written an album’s worth of material for my project with Amy (http://www.myspace.com/themajomusic), so i am very anxious to get some of that stuff recorded too. it is very dark but direct. i like these songs a lot and i hope to get them out to you guys. this winter i MUST finish the jfk. maybe start on the majo. it is killing me that i have all this music and haven’t released it.
ah anyway i guess i don’t have anything important to say
just wanted to check in
i sincerely appreciate your support and feel very blessed that people still care about me and my music. i hope you are having a great fall.
looking forward to seeing you in columbus or on halloween or maybe i’ll just run into you at the Kroger.
