This could be the most exciting blog update ever. Congratulations on the progress, and we all look forward to what’s to come.

Ok. So it looks like I’m going to have to make some very large signs promoting Orion and Archaic Smile and march back and forth outside your front door until you add these to the track list. I just need to calculate how long it will take me to persuade you, file the needed vacation paperwork at the office, buy the supplies and get down to your place. By my calculations, I’ll see you tomorrow … ha.
In all seriousness, this is a very exciting post. I really can’t wait to hear some of this stuff.

HOLY SHIT LIGHTHOUSE!!!! My all-time favorite JFK song! Wahoo! If you re-record vocals please please keep them raw like the original. That song is the shit!
Also, where is Pilot man?!? You play it at the shows and it always gets people pumped. Pilot is definitely a must have on this cd. If this is not on the album I’m going to go nuts.

You probably know what I am going to say but I’ll say it anyway!
Yay, Sam(revival) made the album. That song is amazing. One thing I would change is put Roses in and take out either Like A City or 6 Hour Drive and put one of those tracks as internet only. I think Roses is one of the best ever JFK songs and it will really help sell the album!
Also can you please consider Walk Carefully for the second Joe Hedges album please? Best song you’ve ever written!!!

WOW! Clearview… I can’t believe that’s even mentioned. I know it’s low profile and may never see the light of day, but just to see it is amazing. Probably not my favorite song, but it holds a special place in my heart because it was a major stepping stone during the Vice/Swim transition era. Sleep Through and Cemetery Sun are demos I listen to on a regular basis. Even though I only heard it once or twice live, I was a fan of the song “Breathe”. Can’t wait to hear new stuff, as always.
On a side note, I was watching the movie Once recently and at certain moments it reminded me of Joe.

[…] Joe Hedges, July For Kings’ frontman also released a tentative tracklist, which shows there are both old and new songs on the upcoming album. The older songs are re-recorded and perhaps altered from their original versions, but longtime fans should hear a sound of recognition. This comes straight from Joe’s Blog […]
