happiness
i am in a good mood.
i hope you are too. i got a robot for christmas! and all kinds of music and stuff.
but more importantly i spent a lot of time with my family and friends playing games, listening to music, talking. the good stuff.
i have felt very loved in the last few weeks. but the real icing on the cake was the july for kings mad frog show the other night. this was easily one of the most fun shows EVER in my whole life. that’s saying something. the place was packed wall to wall. the crowd was so good and fun. stepping onto the stage we were just amazed. “this is a trip!” drew has not lost a step. we played the entire nostalgia album, about half of swim, a couple unreleased song and a few songs from curvature. the encore featured former JFK members sam dobrozsi and travis delaney on drums and guitar respectively. we kicked it old school. that involves sam beating the shit out of the drum kit and me running around the stage like a madman screaming my ass off. rock and roll.
if anyone has pictures please send them to me or put them up and let me know where to find them, thanks!
thank you to the mad frog, to everyone who came and especially to sam, travis, drew, brian, dan, and T. i love you guys.
this show proved to us that there is still a great deal of interest in July For Kings. we are more excited than ever to release some new music. in the next couple weeks we’ll be releasing the track i finished in LA “Say It Now” on myspace and itunes. watch for it.
happy new year!
