nostalgia

The CC’s show was a huge success. Thanks to everyone who promoted, played, worked, attended, and bought CD’s. I’ll be back later today to finish this entry.

thanks a ton to AJ for these photos.
we played about an hour and a half (i think). we played well and had a really fun time on stage. we played songs from swim, songs from nostalgia, a few unreleased things, and a cover of areosmith’s “sweet emotion”.
the room was full, the sound and lights were great. thanks again to everyone involved. we’re just so happy it all went so smooth.

T ripping it up. i am lucky to be in such a kick ass band.
Opening the show were Massive Headwound Harry from lakota high school and my sister Amy Hedges, who also just released a CD. here i am with amy:

for those of you who missed CC’s, we just announced some more ohio dates at the frog, mcguffy’s, and soupies, as well as a new york cbgb’s show (feb. 10th). we are going to surround the new york show with a couple routing dates. we’ll be selling CD’s at all those shows. we are kicking around the idea of returning to CC’s sometime in June.
so finally there are some new July For Kings CD’s floating around out there! that makes me happy. we are getting lots of e-mail from people wanting us to mail them CD’s. if you haven’t heard, we are releasing the CD for online sales in a couple weeks at CDbaby.com. we’ll let you know when that happens. we’ll also be making mp3’s for sale on alternativeaddiction.com, itunes.com, napster.com and more.
we are getting some good press lately. and actually…we are collecting it, or attempting to, to use for our press package. if you happen to have an extra copy of the cincinnati post from december 23th. or city beat, the middletown journal, or other papers that might have done write up’s on or around that date, please e-mail me and let me know. we could really use a couple copies. thanks! thanks also to our friends at the local papers, especially the folks who have been supportive of us for years.
if i come across some other photos i will put them up
talk to you soon
joe
