this last month or so has just been crazy. we’re just so happy with the turnout overall. sometimes when you play too much in the same area, the crowd starts to thin out a little, but we’ve been lucky. i hope that means when we’re only doing one or two tri-state shows a month, the crowds will be even bigger. i am feeling good about this summer, and i can’t wait to start getting things moving again. new songs, new site, more shows. the new website is gonna blow this one away. i can’t wait. i am hoping we can launch it the first or second week of may but i’m not sure. it may or may not coincide with a live webcam of us in the studio. we are planning trips out to pa the end of june and the end of july. i’m just throwing some rumors out there. why not. most of them will end up being true and none of them involve anyone’s love life.

i was in kind of a weird mood. by the end of the night i was playing cowboy dress up with someone’s hat and my glasses. that makes it the second time in two weeks that i took a straw hat from an audience member. weird. dan had his “cowboy dan” shirt on, so it must be unofficial JFK meets the west month or something.

thanks to everyone who has been driving from all over to hear us. and thanks to our cincy and dayton area peeps who refuse to forget about us. you guys are the best.

this friday we’ll be in Columbus.

we had two shows over the weekend, at soupies in cincinnati on friday, and at Mcguffy’s in dayton on saturday. here’s trav and i at soupies, me in a xavier shirt. i don’t have many photos from this show Thanks to dan, brittaney, jessica, matthew, colleen, colleen, jenn and lissa for taking photos.

photo of heads. not only was it pretty packed, but the crowd was really into it both nights. we were spoiled.

bluf and premium opened the night, two really great bands also from cincy. i confess i was having dinner during bluf’s set–not much of a confession since they called me on it. i will catch you next time guys..so sorry. gotta eat. i always try and watch at least some of the other band(s), but sometimes i am eating or warming up and i just can’t. anyway, i did see a lot of premium’s set, and it quite rocked.

outside after the show, trav and i took turns suiting up in hockey goalie pads. they belong to dave “hurricane” marlin, a friend of ours and goalie for the dayton bombers.

not much else to tell from friday i guess. lots of xavier students, lots of jfk show regulars, and lots of rock.

and that was our weekend. i guess this wasn’t much of a journal. more like a photo album. i’ve thought of renaming this section “scrapbook” but that doesn’t sound as official and cool as journal.
